THE ISSUE

There is no federal government to mandate nationwide recycling. Which is why states took the liberty to set up recycling programs which can be mandatory as in California, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, or a strictly voluntary basis.

SHORT TERM GOALS

Increase awareness of recycling and environment in local populations.

Get more people involved in environmental politics.

Make recycling a federal mandate. The awareness of the environment should be seen as a continual awareness in future generations.

LONG TERM GOALS

There is a range of things you can do to help. These range from sending letters to your representatives on all levels of government, to volunteering in your community and spreading awareness of the issues.
